We inspect accessible timber including floor joists, floorboards, roof timbers, lintels, skirting boards and any other structural or decorative timber. We look for signs of woodworm and beetle infestation. Where relevant, we also assess sub-floor ventilation and moisture conditions that could be contributing to timber problems.
A woodworm survey may be appropriate if you have noticed timber damage, grass caused by burrowing woodworm, small exit holes in woodwork or if the problem has to affect you homes structural timber. It is also commonly requested as part of a pre-purchase assessment.
